Or go down to a bar to have a drink and chill. If you prefer to go shopping and eat the food on the street, pasar malam is where you should head to. Cheap clothes and accessories, a stretch of delicious food and even antiques are those of you can find in the famous Jonker Street.

There are not many bars as compare to the cafes in Melaka. But you still can find bars that play good music and serves good variety of liquor as well. As for the cafes, there’s an array of choices to select from; peranakan cuisine, Chinese food, western pick, desserts and others. Being serves in a different environment, it’s going to be an eye-opener to the tourists.

Pasar malam, also known as night market, is a favorite hangout place for locals usually after work. They’ll spend some time off with friends or spouse to walk along the streets to buy some dinner and for window shopping. Pasar malam usually starts in the evening so you can drop by earlier to avoid crowds, usually begin after 7pm. There are also restaurants along the street rather than only food stalls.
